This old GL has seen many changes, 2001 with 138,000 miles – 34,000 as a “Prototype” and now in production form. All new frame, body panels, suspension placement and paint scheme. This unit also features an extra radiator for ultimate cooling.

GL1800 Production Frame complete

Final frame design featured in the gallery section of this webpage. I added several improvements including an extra radiator for auxiliary cooling. This unit has it’s own temp switch independent of the standard GL system. Improved shock layout will assist in cowl design simplicity and forms a more compact aerodynamic footprint. Wheelbase has also been modified to fit the “magic number” which is the result of over 100,000 miles of real world testing.

Today I start another conversion, a GL1800 Goldwing with the newest frame design which will feature a totally new look along with the enhanced handling and cooling features of the latest changes. All new custom mounting brackets make install even easier than before while adding additional strength.

Victory Test ride

Temps were in the 20s but it had to be done. Very impressed with the Victory engine as it runs great, has plenty of power and little vibration. Great machine in general.
Trike part was as predicted spot on, cornering was solid and ride nice and soft. Steering is light and easy but may need a degree or two of positive caster as it is set at 2.5 degrees now and should be at 4. No big deal as this ...

Tri-Pin getting close to finished

2 coats of metallic clear over custom base color tonight and tomorrow it goes back together. By this weekend it will be ready for DMV inspection and the sales yard.

Very pleased with the multi grey and white look on this bike. Finish pictures and first official ride this weekend.
